you ever have someone who just wouldn’t stop showing up?
i don’t mean like physically. obviously. i mean in games. streams. rankings. chats. dms. comments. leaderboards. match histories. that one person who somehow is always there, three spots ahead, or one mistake behind.
and worse: people keep acting like it means something. like it’s fate. like it’s cute.
like it’s a fucking rom-com and not just... bad code.
she was always there, like mold. like a smudge on a lens you can’t wipe off. saying smug shit with that voice that made people think she was clever when really she was just loud.
self-made, sure. whatever. i made her.
she said it herself, once.
anyway. there was this one time.
we were both hyped up.finals of something that doesn’t matter anymore. everyone thought it’d be a good match. we were... talking more than usual back then. less insults, more long pauses. i don’t know. maybe i forgot i hated her for a minute. maybe she was funny.
i don’t even remember what started it, but we ended up off-camera. private channel.
too close.
it wasn’t anything.
i mean—
it didn’t happen.
because i said something shitty and walked out. like any sane person would when cornered by an overconfident algorithm darling with too much eyeliner and not enough shame.
and somehow that made me the villain. again.
let the record show: i didn’t lose. i just left.
